2025 St. Patrick’s Day Parades Restrictions and Road Closures March 12, 2025 . Please be advised of the following temporary parking restrictions and road closures in Albany, NY for the 2025 St. Patrick’s Day Parades. NEW FOR 2025 Both Parades Parking restrictions will be in place for the entirety of both parade routes. The following is the route for the 53rd Limerick International Band Championship which starts at 12pm on Sunday 16th March The 264th New York City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will take place along Fifth Avenue in Manhattan on Monday, March 17, 2025. This parade holds the distinction of being “the oldest and largest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the world,” with a tradition dating back to March 17, 1762—even earlier than the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The fun and games will all be topped off by the Limerick St Patrick’s Day parade (Monday March 17), led out by Olympic medalist Róisín Ní Ríain, and the 53rd International Band Championship (Sunday March 16) – which will be followed by a musical jamboree at Arthur’s Quay Park as the winners are announced. The theme for this year's St. Patrick's Festival is “A More Fun Limerick." This exciting theme aims to highlight the vibrant and playful spirit of Limerick, promising a festival filled with joy, creativity, and community engagement. The 2025 festival will feature a variety of events designed to bring smiles to faces of all ages. The 2025 Castlemahon St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place on Monday 17th March at 3pm.
